Wasenshi Kan is staffed by a dedicated team of volunteer instructors, who have devoted their considerable skill and experience to teaching Danzan Ryu Jujutsu. All of our instructors are nationally certified black belts, with clear background screens and CPR/First Aid certified. We foster a diverse, community-oriented atmosphere and a low cost approach to make this effective and beautiful martial art accessible to as many people as possible. If you're willing to put in the time and dedication to learn, you'll feel more confident and capable than you ever could have imagined.
Regular Class Schedule
Juniors (Ages 7/up):
- Open to all: Thursdays
- 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Adults and Teens (Ages 13/up):
- Open to all: Mondays & Wednesdays
- 6:30 - 8:30 pm
- Students may also attend only the first or second hour if that works better for their schedule.
- Intermediate (invitation only): Thursdays
- 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Students younger than 7 years old may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Additional classes may be scheduled with advanced notice.

There are no contracts or testing fees and monthly fees are due on the first of the month on a month-to-month basis. Monthly dues include annual registration with the American Judo & Jujitsu Federation, which is required for all students. Wasenshi Kan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the teachings of Master Henry S. Okazaki and other martial and healing arts. No experience is necessary to start classes, and new students may begin at any time.
How Do I Start?
Try a class for free! Limit one free trial class per person.
Adults can start training for a discounted rate of $40 for your first month, plus an AJJF registration fee of $60 (total of $100). Regular monthly rate ($65) and cost of uniform (if needed) apply in the second month. Limit one discounted monthly rate per person.
Juniors are welcome with a first month's total fees of $70. This includes discounted dues of $40 for the first month, plus an AJJF registration fee of $30. Regular monthly rate ($50) apply in the second month. The cost of the uniform will be due when the child can demonstrate the first preliminary techniques to the satisfaction of the instructor.
